Field Guide Research

Here I will post some links that I will be using for my Field Guide. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/parents-need-to-drastically-cut-kids-screen-time-devices-american-heart-association/ 2 hours a day is enough screen time a day for kids ages 8-18 Screen time affecting kids brains?  Parental strategies, limit the time. articles on tv back in the day. Focus on early childhood- early years, American Pediatric Association- recommendations content not so much the time. Ask about screen time and digital life. What is the screen time displacing? What would you be doing?

Field Guide- Screen time for Children

The topic for my Field guide is going to be "How much Screen time should a child have" Not all screen time is bad, but still feel like it should be limited. Going to start really getting into the research this week, it has been a bit hectic on my side but definitely going to get started on this asap.

Week 10- Understanding of the Field Guide

During this weeks class we got a better understanding on what to expect by the end of the semester. I definitely got a better understanding on what the "Field Guide" actually is and what to expect from us. This is a subject I have been struggling with because I had no idea what it actually meant and what was expected from us. We also went over the the stretch of the semester and touching base on where we should be and where we are headed. This has been a crazy week with so much going on...  But I am ready to get started and participate in the Field Guide and enjoy the stretch of the semester... We also have to create a new twitter account for our alchemist to talk to each other.  This will be pretty confusing and I probably won't ever use that twitter account again.. I wonder if I can delete when finished.. I'm sure I can... Google doc template will give voice and introduce our alchemist.

Memes to Net Art- Week 8

We are finally looking into some "brightness" on the internet. We looked at some Net Art last week and was also provided with some links that we can browse our selves. Some pretty good stuff! I am still having trouble figuring out what the "Field Guide" is all about and what I should be researching.... The studio session with Alex Saum went well. There was some questions asked about what inspired her to be where she is? It was pretty interesting to hear her answers as well as the engagement. Last week we also got to reflect on where we stand with our grading contracts. Got to kind of take a look at where we stand and ask questions if necessary.... We are more than halfway through the semester now...

Week 6

I think it was pretty interesting reading up on the selfies in every day life. Now a days that is one of our main sources of pictures put on social media. I personally like selfies however it is also good to get pictures of other things around you and preferably with family and friends that you love. I tend on taking a lot more pictures this year :)

Selfie/ Un-selfie

Of course selfies are good to take because we know our best angles which will look good on camera. But it is also good to have an "un-selfie" every once in awhile you can see if you made any progress on weight loss, you can also see the new outfit you might have purchased or the new pair of shoes :)
